An initiative for this has been taken by the government school of village Kajipura of Kheda taluka of Kheda district. Along with education, young children are also taught lessons on the importance of money management by giving them a proper understanding of how to use money. A unique bank has been started for this purpose in this government school. The name of this bank is 'Bank of Kajipura'. This bank is fully managed by the students of Class-I to Class-VIII of Kajipura School.

            Mr. Sunilbhai, Principal of Kajipura School, says about this bank that since the beginning of this bank, students understand the importance of money from their school days, become self-reliant by taking their own expenses and develop the concept of saving in them. The students of our school save money by saving the money spent on eating out so that they don't fall short of the money they need for their education. So that this saving money can be used for their own education in future and they don't have to ask for money from their parents. He further adds that the basic purpose behind starting this bank is to bear the cost of their

             They use the money saved for travel, children's fairs, school uniforms, other books and things related to their education. This children's bank works with the motto 'When you have money, don't spend it all, but also save some of it'. This school and this bank are working together with the principle that savings should be inculcated in childhood along with education.

              Drvesh Thakor studying in class-6 works as manager and Priya Thakor studying in class-7 as cashier in the bank. There are total 242 accounts in this bank. 8% annual interest on children's money through this bank is given by school teachers. In this way, this bank is proving to be useful in developing the qualities of saving and its benefits to the students from an early age.
